A little more about me...

I grew up in Iowa before moving to Central Ohio for high school. It was there that I discovered geology during a quarter-long individual research project. I followed this passion to the Pennsylvania State University. I was afforded with many research opportunities in the lab and in the field in the Department of Geosciences. After completing my integrated B.Sc./M.Sc., the first awarded in the Geosciences Deparment, I joined the Earthquake Seismology group at Stanford in the Department of Geophysics.

In my spare time, I enjoy training for long-distance running events, hiking and traveling. I've recently discovered indoor cycling as another form of exercise. While I'm in the Bay Area, I hope to sample as many different burritos as humanly possible!
